“I Will Be Here”

Every anniversary, we watch our wedding video, enjoy a journey through our photos, and listen to our wedding music. Corny, I know, but it reminds us of the blessing that day, and every day since, is for us.

The song below was one of those wedding songs. It speaks of always being there for the other during all the twists and turns and changes that naturally happen on the journey of marriage. Through the winning, losing, and trying, knowing that your spouse will always be there is a gift beyond measure, especially to one who has felt the pain of loss.

So to all you couples, married and remarried, enjoy these words and take them as your own.

“I Will Be Here” by Steven Curtis Chapman

Tomorrow mornin’ if you wake up

And the sun does not appear

I…I will be here

If in the dark we lose sight of love

Hold my hand and have no fear

‘Cause I…I will be here

I will be here…

When you feel like being quiet

When you need to speak your mind

I will listen

And I will be here

When the laughter turns to cryin’

Through the winnin’ and losin’ and tryin’

We’ll be together

‘Cause I will be here

Tomorrow mornin’ if you wake up

And the future is unclear

I…I’ll be here

Just as sure as seasons are made for change

Our lifetimes are made for these years

I…I will be here

I will be here….

You can cry on my shoulder

When the mirror tells us we’re older

I will hold you

And I will be here

To watch you grow in beauty

And tell you all the things you mean to me

I will be here

I will be true

To the promise I have made

To you and to the

One who gave you to me

I…I will be here

And just as sure as seasons are made for change

Our lifetimes are made for these years

‘Cause I…

I will be here….

We’ll be together

‘Cause I will be here
